We offer a comprehensive examination to check the health of your eyes as well as your standard of vision.
It is important to regularly have your eyes checked in order to:
- Detect cataracts
- Diagnose visual problems
- Prescribe corrective spectacles
- Screen for diabetes

Childrens Vision
We pride ourselves in being a "family friendly" practice and run regular "Children Only" days in the school holidays. We provide drinks,snacks and entertainment and hope that the "party atmosphere" will encourage your child to be relaxed and confident when attending for their examination. We also offer after school appointments in term time. We offer a wide range of frames many available free of charge using your NHS voucher.
Early detection of childhood eye problems is essential to allow vision to develop normally and avoid problems with schoolwork.
Special Needs / Hearing disabilties
We are sympathetic to the needs of both adults and children with learning disabilities. We are happy for patients to visit the practice before an examination to familiarise themselves with the staff and environment. We can allocate longer appoinment times if required. An examination can be undertaken even with non verbal patients. We can arrange the services of a sign interpreter for those patients who use sign language.
